Ongoing Projects
CeCaS
The goal of CeCaS is to enable connected vehicles with high automation. To achieve this, the software functions in the vehicle are centrally controlled to manage the growing complexity. With a platform-oriented development and a hardware/software co-design, a flexible solution can be created from the basic function to the user. Additionally, the architecture will transition from a domain-based hierarchy to a zonal and redundant high-availability architecture. This is achieved through the use of "folded neural networks." New, heterogeneous computing structures that offer high performance with low energy consumption are being researched. These are made robust against disturbances through adapted construction and connection technology, as well as suitable cooling methods. More info
HAL4SDV
The HAL4SDV project mission is to advance European solutions in software-defined vehicles and next generation vehicles. The project aims to harmonize efforts across Europe, creating a comprehensive SDV ecosystem while leveraging existing national projects and international R&D activities. By focusing on unifying software interfaces and development methodologies, HAL4SDV will enable software configuration that abstracts from vehicle hardware, paving the way for a "software-defined vehicle" approach for both safety-critical and non-safety-critical applications in future vehicles.
